Auto fix postcode spacing for Royal Mail integration.
It would be fantasic if storefeeder could automatically correct the postcode spacing that validation often flags up. I am sure storefeeder could delete extra spaces automatically or add a space as required to correct the UK postcode format.
Seens as Storefeeder is part of Royal Mail i believe it would be possible for storefeeder to have a database of valid uk postcodes in the software.
Storefeeder could validate the postcode against the database of correctly formatted postcodes, match the characters and then replace the postcode with the correctly formatted/spaced postcode.
I understand that it may not be able to correct incorrect characters but correcting spacing automatically should be possible.

We are pleased to announce this feature request has been approved and it will be scheduled in for an upcoming release.
It will not modify the data stored in the system but will correct the spacing and strip out any hyphens of data that is sent to RM.

Just to add to this some customers also put O for 0 and vice versa would be nice to do a fix with this fix.

This has been under review for 18 months now. It would be very helpful if this could be implemented. We get a lot of 2 spaces in postcodes, and people putting a hyphen in their postcode ie SY11-3AU which could be automatically stripped

I presume that symbols are taken out in addition? We do have a few customers using accented letters which throw off the labels.

Hi, this would help also with DPD and probably all other courier integrations. Pretty sure they could simply remove all spacing in the postcode and then they will work correctly. remove none alpha numeric characters also would help immensely as many people seem to like putting in a post code with a hyphen in it! LS23-5TY for instance.
