Merge Orders from Different Sales Channels
We should be able to choose how we want to merge the orders.
Currently, Store Feeder says "The orders must also be from the
Same channel
Use the same shipping method
Have the same order status
Maybe there can be a toggle that we can switch on/off. For example; We want the system to merge orders from different sales channels. Or from different shipping methods.
It is not possible at the moment.
we will speak about this, as we would need to ensure the promised delivery dates are not missed amongst other considerations which doesn;t make this as easy as it sounds

If you cant do auto merging on them maybe could you add a flag to show that this user has other 'ready to pick' items with mismatching postal services?
Even if they could just be filtered it would make it much faster.
On Linnworks they have a filter called "OrdersToBeMerged" which did the same job.

There is an ongoing issue with Ebay where if a customer orders several items and selects '1st Class' for one of the items (and in doing so believe they're updating their entire order to 1st Class) it actually splits the order into two separate orders. This comes through into Storefeeder with several items being '2nd Class' and then one item being '1st Class'.
In this instance we require for an automated merge so that all items from both orders could be added to the 1st Class (or upgraded postage option ie Special Delivery).
Similarly a customer may order an item as special delivery and then order another item separately with our free 2nd Class option. When these two separate orders come into Storefeeder we would want them to be merged so that all items can be sent Special Delivery instead of having to manually merge.
Our issue has been that we dispatch a large batch of orders and then by the time we realise we need to merge we then go to cancel the consignment and merge however the orders have already been exported to our accounting system. This creates a big mess as we have to create a delivery exception / change weights / deallocate stock etc to ensure the correct postage label and order documentation is created.
