PDA App login by Pin number
PDA's have a little screen and often little keyboards and logging in with email address and hopefully a long complicated password is not the easiest and often leads to mistypes or worse saved passwords.
Use of a 4 or 6 digit pin number to login would make the process simpler and less likely to resort to system saved PW's and ID's. Also help stop users using others ID's when they are saved.

Ability to speed up orders coming through from channel
The ability to pull orders through quicker during operating hours as some orders take over 30 mins to reach store feeder this means we have to reduce our courier cut off times to allow the warehouse to pick and pack before collection

we have recently decreased the order import schedule accross the board to every 8 minutes rather than 15. We plan to further decrease as much as possible.
Any dealys outside of this are subject to channels holding orders for a "buyers remorse" period so they can be cancelled. Orders are not released to the API until this perios has passed. This unforunately cannot be worked around and is out of our control.
We are also planing on supporting Webhooks where channels allow which means that orders should come in moments after they have been placed\released by channel.

Merge Orders from Different Sales Channels
We should be able to choose how we want to merge the orders.
Currently, Store Feeder says "The orders must also be from the
Same channel
Use the same shipping method
Have the same order statusMaybe there can be a toggle that we can switch on/off. For example; We want the system to merge orders from different sales channels. Or from different shipping methods.

Improving Deletion Of Amazon/Etsy Listings From Storefeeder
We find it really longwinded to have to go into Amazon to delete an order, then Amazon.be etc to delete the same SKU/ASIN. We then have to redownload the SKU for it to unmap / disappear and then redownload again to clear it when it comes back in (due to time lags)
We can delete these easily from Storefeeder and eBay in one click

Scan location - make skus in order
When you scan a location on the app, it brings up all the skus in that location. However, it doesn't bring the products up in sku order.
We have some small items that are stored in sku order inside a box that's allocated to a single location. When working at location level, it's hard to find the item you want to work on on the scanner, as it's not in any particular order.

Add "SKU" into Rule Builders
I think it would be really beneficial to be able to add a SKU into a shipping rule.
At the moment, we have to use "Hazardous Product" tick box to get some rules specific to certain products.
They are not Hazardous, but it's the only way so far.If we can select a SKU and create a specific shipping rule for that 1 product or more, that would be cool.

we are looking at both adding extra options into shipping rules where we can and also potentially replacing them with much more flexible order processing rules and will be able to do much more than simply set a shipping method.
In the mean time is Ian suggested you should be able to do this by tweaking your packaging sizes.

Stock Location Barcodes
It would be good to have a button similar to the Product EAN/UPC barcode print in the Stock Locations. At the moment we go off and generate barcodes using other software (or online) but if we could create the location in storefeeder and the print to our label printer it would save some time for us . Thanks

Notification when a backorder is received into the system
It would be useful when a backorder is pulled into the system that a notification is sent via email as these can sometimes be missed and we've had a few cases where a product has oversold on a channel due to delayed stock updates but no one has realised

thanks for your suggestion. We are looking at a better solution for these sorts of issues. Rather than notifications that often get ignored\missed we are looking at specific dashboards for user roles that are more suited to the information they are looking for.
You can also use saved filters on the orders grid to easily look for back orders in the system.

Import Product Metafield data from Shopify
Many of our products are utilising product metafields in Shopify (e.g. electrical equipment with lots of detailed specification)
We need this data to be imported from Shopify to Storefeeder and also have the ability to export to other Shopify shops
We would like Storefeeder to be one centralised product database (a single version of the truth) for our products, but it's not capable of this currently

Ability to Exclude Order Channels from 30/60/90 day Sales Figures
Hello, we use certain order channels to hold, move or donate stock. However, these figures are all contributing to our 30/60/90 day global sales figures. Our buying team then buy more of these items as it looks to them as if they are high sellers when in reality we are simply giving this stock away. Please could we exclude certain channels from these figures as effectively they are not sales.

Packing Box Code and Tape Dispenser Code Integration
We would greatly appreciate the addition of a new product field specifically for the packing box code. This feature would enable us to quickly identify the recommended box for each product, streamlining the packing process. Additionally, we are planning to incorporate electric tape dispensers into our workflow. A similar product field for the tape length, corresponding to the dispenser settings, would be highly beneficial.

Add Amazon Default Values For Listing Creation
It would be great if Amazon also had a Default Values section just like eBay so that when uploading a certain product you can have most of the generic default values automatically populated to save time and reduce errors.

We are currently updating to Amazons new listing APIs which should allow us to do this. Using the current submission method its not easily done.
This work is going to take us some time so wont be started until we are uing the new API.

Include eBay usernames to show up when using the search feature
We have been using the search bar as a quicker way to bring up customer orders, products etc. It searches for names (part and full) however it does not search for eBay usernames
eBay usernames are in the 'Customer Name' field if you search directly on the Orders page so I thought it would look for this also.
The search bar is so much quicker so it would be useful to have the results for usernames included in the results

Adding "Ship By Date" to all channels
We are currently having an issue where our warehouse staff are solely concentrating on ship by dates rather than doing orders in order of oldest to newest.
We have had around 2000 Amazon and Amazon prime orders per day and these are very important, so these are completed first. Our warehouse aren’t shipping any phone orders, Shopify orders, eBay orders. They are only filtering by ‘Ship by Date’ and concentrating on that.
It would be better if we could add a ship by date to each order.
For example:
Amazon: No need as already provided
Shopify Priority: Same as order…1 vote -
Tags and Attention Messages in Shipping Rules
To improve the efficiency and clarity of our packing process, we propose an enhancement to the shipping rules within StoreFeeder. This feature would allow for the automatic assignment of custom tags and the insertion of "Attention Required Messages" to orders, particularly benefiting our unbranded boxing service.
Our service includes an option for customers to choose unbranded boxing as their shipping method. This choice is crucial for ensuring the correct packaging process is followed. However, once orders are imported into StoreFeeder, the visibility of this option is lost, leading to confusion among packers.

Apply discount to entire purchase order
We would love to be able to apply a % discount to an entire Purchase Order as it's being put together, to automatically adjust the prices by e.g. 5% instead of manually changing, or exporting/importing the PO.

Add "Report Builder" functionality
It would be great if we could build and save our own reports rather than just use the baked-in ones. Many of them don't quite do what we need, so the ability create our own would be super useful.

Bulk Inventory Update and Product Import - automap / closest match relevant fields
Automap or seek the closest match for the header rows when uploading via bulk inventory update or product import/export.
The same functionality exists in CSV Order Import - you click a button to automatically map any matching headers. You still have to confirm that you want to map those headers before starting the CSV order import, and would envisage the same thing here.
For example, in a bulk inventory update, I might have a file with three columns:
SKU
Name
InventorySF requires SKU and Inventory to do a Bulk Inventory Update. Therefore, the system would select those two fields…

Pick from bulk location when someone orders a full box quantity or more than we have in the pickbin
Currently if we take a large order for a product, it will empty the pickbin and then take the picker to the bulk location. It would be neater for the picker if they just took all the product from the bulk location or at least got them to retreive full box quantities from the bulk location.

Custom Priority Flags
We'd love to be able to multi use priority flags.
Currently we have it setup only for Click and Collect orders so our team knows to get them off first.
We'd like to expand it and be able to add a custom flag to that some of our custom shipping method orders so they are spotted quickly and dispatched.15 votes
